The loss snaps the Blue Jays modest two-game win streak, while the Tigers improve to 3-0. Seniors Sam Schrum (Pasadena, MD/St. Mary's) and Paige Ibello (Cockeysville, MD/Maryvale Prep) and junior Brianna Cronin (Arlington, MA/Arlington) all notched hat tricks for Hopkins.

The 26-year-old native of Hamilton hasn't appeared in a game since being named most valuable player of the Major Lacrosse League playoffs while helping the Toronto Nationals win the 2009 pro field title.

The 10-0 Broncos garnered all 13 first-place votes following a 12-11 victory over rival UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos, now 8-1, remained in the next spot and were the unanimous #2 choice of the pollsters.
